FAQ

Still Thinking Through The Details? Good.

Smart buyers ask smart questions. Here’s what comes up most often and how we think about it.

How Much Will This Cost - and Why?

What does it usually cost to work with Archaius?

Most engagements fall between $15,000 – $2,500. Pricing depends on scope, speed, and volume. We’ll recommend the model that best fits your goals and team capacity.

How do you price Retainers vs. FlexBlocks vs. Flat Rate?

Each model serves a different level of clarity and scale. We’ll recommend what works best after understanding your cadence, budget, and planning rhythm.

Can I change pricing models later?

Yes. Many clients start with a project or FlexBlock, then move into Retainers. Many of our clients use a combination. For example, you might use Flat Rate for a recurring format and FlexBlocks for campaign extras. We guide the shift to avoid gaps in output or resourcing.

What if we go over our FlexBlock or Retainer hours?

We’ll always flag it early. From there, you’ll get a clear estimate to complete the remaining work. You can approve additional hours, adjust the scope, or take things in-house if needed. We keep you in control. No surprise invoices or pressure.

How fast can you turn something around?

We typically operate on 5 – 10 business day cycles for a v1, depending on project complexity. However, we can operate on expedited turnarounds depending on our availability. Retainers and aligned teams move fastest.

How early do I need to tell you about a project?

Our team typically books out about 3 – 4 weeks at a time, with priority given to Retainer relationships. The earlier you let us know, the better we can structure our schedule with your projects in mind.

Do I have to write a creative brief?

You have the option to provide your own that we’ll refine together, or we can build one from the ground up. It all depends on your timeline and budget. For routine, repeatable projects, we’ll often develop customized briefs, or forego them completely depending on the nature of the project and our relationship. Download our Fix Post Toolkit to checkout the creative brief template we use in-house.

Can you use our existing tools (Vimeo, Asana, etc.)?

Yes, but this will include an additional, customized administrative fee. Using our system and tools avoids this cost.

How involved do I need to be?

That’s up to you. We offer varying levels of strategic support, and every proposal includes options based on how hands-on (or off) you want to be. Some clients want to stay closely involved throughout. Others prefer to approve a brief and let us run with it. You decide based on your comfort level and budget.

What software and tools do you use?

We edit in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve, depending on what’s best for the client or project. We primarily use After Effects for motion graphics. We have Frame.io for reviews, and Teamwork for communication and task management. Most clients share assets via Dropbox, Google Drive, or Box.

How many revision rounds are included?

It depends on your stakeholder layers. For internal teams, we typically include two rounds. If you’re an agency working with a client, we recommend four rounds (two internal, two external) to keep things smooth. If additional rounds are needed, we’ll quote them up front or when they arise.

What happens if we’re not happy with a draft?

We align at every step to avoid surprises, but if something’s off, we’ll fix it. Our Right-Track Guarantee means we’ll rework your V2 at no cost if the first revision isn’t on track. Communication and clarity are built into our process to avoid dead ends.

What kinds of clients do you work best with?

We work best with creative teams, producers, and marketers who want to scale output without sacrificing creative standards or burning out.

What makes someone a bad fit?

Teams that want one-off minor tasks without a plan, or don’t value clear communication. We’re built for alignment and scale, not patchwork edits.

Do I need to have footage already?

No. We can advise on production planning, generating motion graphics, sourcing stock assets, and maximizing existing footage. Some of our best work starts before the shoot.

Are we too small—or too big—for Archaius?

We work with everyone from solo creatives to global brands. Whether you need a single cut or a full content system, we’ll scale to fit your needs, not the other way around.

What kinds of clients do you typically work with?

Our clients include in-house marketing teams, agency producers, production companies, and founders building their brand. If video is part of your content strategy and you’re looking for a smarter way to execute post, we likely can help.

Can I start with limited support and expand if needed?

Definitely. Many clients start with a small project or two and grow from there. Our systems are built to scale. So whether you need a partner for a pitch, a single campaign, or a full calendar, we’re ready to plug in.

Do you only do post? Or can you help with planning too?

Post is our specialty, but we don’t just wait around for footage. We can support creative planning, scripting, and ideation based on your goals and assets. And if you need help with filming, we’ll connect you to trusted partners who match your style and standards.

Who owns the files and deliverables?

You do. Every asset we create for you is yours to keep, including project files, exports, templates, and source footage.

Do we get access to the project files and raw media?

Yes—always. You’ll have full access to all project files, deliverables, and any assets we create. Nothing’s hidden or locked behind a proprietary system. We believe you should retain full control over your content, even if we stop working together.

Do you work with NDAs?

Absolutely. We regularly work under mutual NDAs and treat all client materials with strict confidentiality.

Can you white-label for agencies?

Yes. We work behind the scenes for studios, agencies, and internal brand teams who want expert post without adding headcount.

What happens if we stop working together?

You’ll keep everything: files, assets, folder structure, and intake tools. We design our process so you’re never dependent on us. We’ll hand off cleanly and professionally if things ever change.

How do I get started?

Book a Strategy Call. We’ll run a 45-minute diagnostic and recommend a model with scoped deliverables.

Can we test the workflow before committing to a Retainer?

Yes. Many clients start with a scoped Flat Rate project or FlexBlock to experience our system firsthand.

What’s different about your system vs. hiring a freelancer or traditional post house?

We bring a scalable, proven post framework—not just talent. You’re plugging into a team that’s designed for speed, clarity, and consistency.
